Will my child be safe at the Jayhawks Basketball Camps?
Absolutely! Your child's safety
is our first priority. Counselors and coaches are with the camper throughout
the day. In the gymnasium, campers are not allowed outside without their coach
and the only way they can leave the gym would be with a parent or altogether as a team.
Also, the buddy system is use when going to the restroom.
All counselors have been thoroughly trained to avoid compromising
situations with campers. When talking with campers about personal issues,
we always have two counselors and a camp director, commissioner or administrator
present.
Rough or unsafe play will not be tolerated and are grounds
for dismissal.
What happens to my child if we are arrive late or we don't pick them up on time?
Drop off time will begin at 7:30 a.m each day and we will begin at 8:00 a.m. Everyone is late sometimes and we understand... Please do your best to be on time, but better late than never, so even if you are running behind, your child is still welcome to attend camp that day. Late pick up is available until 5:00 p.m upon request.
What is so different about the Jayhawks Basketball Camps?
Jayhawks camps are designed to introduce and promote the importance of skill development and basketball fundamentals. We use those same tools and carry them over to our different game situations to build the players basketball I.Q. By doing this we address the total player on a individual and team level.
Does my child need to bring a basketball?
Basketballs will be provided for the child to use and possibly take with them at the end of the week.
